After the final runs on the first day were cancelled as a result of high winds and nearby lightning strikes, the action returned on the second day which culminated in a shootout between the hourly winners to see who would earn the coveted 2 places up for grabs at Motorsport South Africa's FIA Rally Star national final.
Ultimately the honours and the trophies went to Robyn Leeke and Courtney Nicholl who won the chance to compete for a place in the African Continental Final of the FIA Rally Star programme in May 2022.
The challenge was the first of a series of five slalom challenges with further events planned for the Eastern Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal and the Western Cape in the first quarter of 2022 before the series returns for a second event in Gauteng. Watch this space for news of the upcoming challenges.
The focus now shifts to the Cape Town Digital challenge to be held this week at ATK Arena in Claremont from 16 to 19 December where another 2 places in the National Final are up for grabs.
